Day 1, 2 and 3 – Kalpitiya - Alankuda Beach - Palagama Beach

Arrival in Sri Lanka. Embark on an enjoyable boat expedition to watch the Dolphins and the Whales. You will have the opportunity to watch hundreds of Dolphins swimming alongside and diving under your boat, riding waves, jumping, spinning, twirling and leaping out of the water in a magical display, a magnificent experience which you will never forget. You will have plenty of leisure time to relax and enjoy the sun and the sand at the Alankuda beach. You will be staying at Palagama Beach a small tropical beach resort located in the sandy beaches of Kalpitiya.

Day 4 and 5 - Wilpattu - Wilpattu Safari Camp

Set on a boat trip in the Kalpitiya lagoon with a local fisherman to explore the fishing islands and many varieties of birds (Responsible tourism initiative). Local community harvest fish and prawns in the lagoon as their livelihood. Our guide will take you to an island to see the local fishing culture of the islanders. Transfer to Wilpattu. Enjoy an exclusive jeep safari to the Wilpattu national park to spot the elusive Leopard, Sloth bear and other wild animals in their natural habitat. You will be staying at Wilpattu safari camp a tented camp site close to the Wilpattu national park.

Day 6 and 7 - Minneriya - Sigiriya - Habarana - Kandalama Lake Lodge

Enjoy a jeep safari to witness the majestic Asian Elephants at the Minneriya national park. If you are lucky you will be able to witness up to 200-300 elephants. They simply gather to socialize, bathe, drink, feed and possibly mate. Set on a guided bird watching tour in the Sigiriya sanctuary. You will sight endemic birds, migratory and resident birds, eagles, falcons and various water birds. Hike to the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress. Set on a guided nature trail in the jungles of Habarana. On this trail you will witness wild buffalos roaming around, crocodiles basking in the sun and the occasional elephant roaming around in the jungle. You will also have the opportunity to do some bird watching during this trail. You will be staying at Kandalama Lake Lodge, a small and exclusive hotel with nice sceneries.

Day 8, 9 and 10 - Polonnaruwa - Gal Oya - Gal Oya Lodge

Visit the monkey’s in their kingdom. A specialist guide will accompany you to observe the habitat of the monkeys. This will be an interesting experience for you as you get to see these monkeys having a family time playing, cuddling and being cheeky over other monkeys. Enjoy a boat safari in the Gal Oya reservoir. This is the only experience in the island that allows you to spot wildlife from the water. With a little luck you will be able to spot elephants swimming between the islands or bathing in the lake’s edge. Take a walk around the lodge and enjoy the abundant birdlife and the beautiful surroundings. There will be plenty of leisure time for you during these days. You will be staying three nights at the Gal Oya Lodge, set amidst thick forests and so secluded.

Day 11 and 12 - Buttala - Tree Tops

Set on an afternoon walk with the hotel trekker team in the vicinity of the camp. You will see more of the camp surroundings, be introduced to the main elephant tracks and would get more understanding of the wild nature of the place. Visit the nearby lake and enjoy the scenery and the birdlife unfolding. With a little luck elephants can be observed drinking water. Enjoy a morning nature walk to the virgin forest. You will feel the difference of the temperature as you are under the forest cover. This is a protected forest connected to the Yala national park. You might come across foot prints of Sloth bear and paw marks of Leopard as well as wild elephant's footprints. Take a small trek up on a mountain, to an open rock place where you will get a panoramic view. You will be staying at Tree Tops, a jungle lodge surrounded by the forests.

Day 13 and 14 - Yala - Kulu Safari Camp

Set on an exclusive jeep safari to the Yala national park to spot the elusive leopard, Sloth bear and other wild animals in their natural habitat. You will have ample leisure time during these few days to relax and rest by the camp site. You will be staying at Kulu Safari’s a luxury mobile tented camping site near the Yala national park.

Day 15, 16 and 17 - Weheragala - Mirissa - Sri Sharavi

Enjoy an exclusive morning jeep safari at the Weheragala national park. This is the second largest and most visited national parks in the island. Its varied eco systems provide favorable habitats for a large population of Leopards recognized as the largest density of Leopards in the world. In addition there are elephants. Monkeys, 200 plus species of birds and other interesting wildlife. Set on a boat cruise to spot the largest mammal on the planet the 'Blue whale'. You will have plenty of leisure time during these days to enjoy the sun and the sand of the Mirissa beach. You will be staying at Sri Sharavi, a small boutique hotel located in the secluded Mirissa beach.
